2nd Inspiration Challenge October 2023

It’s interesting how the same color combination can take on such a different look depending on the chosen image. That is part of what I love about Altenew’s monthly Inspiration Challenge. It can be found at blog.altenew.com.

Another variant is how much you use of each of the colors. Orange could predominate or just play a minor role as it does in the card I made.

This is the Sunshine Flowers CYL stamped image with the co-ordinating stencils. I experimented with using different sized blending brushes with each layer of the stencil. My goal was to get some of the darker shade at the bottom points of the petals to create depth.

The background includes the Radiant Burst Hot Foil Plate which is large enough to cover this 5″ square card base. I overcame a block I’d been having with foiling the sentiment (Sweet Sentiments) right onto the image.
