#3 Altenew Inspiration Challenge October 2023

This is the gorgeous color combination chosen for this month’s Altenew Inspiration Challenge.

(blog.altenew.com). To make it even more challenging I decided to use these colors in a non-traditional holiday color scheme.

The Dry Brush Poinsettia is fun to experiment with. My final decision was to use the two lighter colors on the first, more solid layer. The darkest color was applied on the second layer. This allowed the lighter colors to show through. The third layer was gold heat-embossed.

Bird of the Mountain is so easy to assemble with the key hole system to line up the layers.

The background is Perfect Poinsettia Embossing Folder gold heat-embossed on the debossed side.

After playing with pinks, white and black, gray cardstock seemed to be the right tone for this color combination.

White splatter added a snowy touch of winter.

I adore this little bird. He may be hard to mail away to someone else.
