Altenew June 2020 Inspiration Challenge

This is the color challenge for Altenew June 2020

Blues with browns . . . my very favorite color combination.  Living in the southwest I might expand that combination all the way to turquoise and copper.

This challenge seemed the perfect opportunity to use my new Bird of Paradise stamp set.  

(It is sooo just out-of-the-mailbox that it still has that addictive photopolymer fragrance.)

The embossing powder is a combination of Altenew’s Golden Peach and JudiKins’ Metallic Copper.

The combination didn’t give a perfectly smooth line.  It reminds me of the old Distress embossing powder.  It may be partially due to the combination of different company’s products and also because it is on water color paper.

The background is water colored with splatters of the two dominant colors.

The first image to be stamped was on the far right.  I continued to stamp moving to the left, masking each time.

The water colors are Altenew’s Artist and Metallic sets.

The thank you from Heartfelt Sentiments was stamped and copper heat-embossed over and over on a blue cardstock strip.  It was then splattered with the same colors.
