There were a couple elements in the challenge today.
1)Texture
2)Using non-traditional colors.
My elf and snowflakes are from a stamp set from MFT.  The elf is stamped in Memento Ink and colored with Copic markers.  The elf’s texture comes from the metal of the jingle bell, shimmer of the gold thread, softness of the Flower Soft, smoothness of the pearls and glimmer from Stickles.
The snowflakes are white heart embossed for even more texture.  The fibers add an additional element of texture.
Pattern paper is from Basic Grey.
As for the colors . . .  I don’t think I’ve ever used brown as the dominant color on a Christmas card or tag.
