Pam Boedeker Let it Shine
It is still hitting 100 degrees plus here in Arizona. Maybe just working with paper snowflakes will bring my body temperature down?
I put 3 colors of Ranger Distress ink on an acrylic sheet and spritzed it with water. A piece of water color paper was then “smushed”into the watery mix of blues. I tipped and rolled the watercolor paper around until I liked how the colors ran together. Then I let it air dry. (I feel heat-setting dulls the colors a little.)
Clear water was then flicked onto the dry piece then absorbed into paper toweling. Again it was air dried. Can you see the spots?
My much-loved tiny Altenew Snowing stamp was used to stamp VersaMark snow across the top of the card. Glitter embossing powder was then heat set to give the background sparkle snowflakes.
Altenew’s Bold Alphabet Die letters were used to cut the word snow twice from water color paper.
The two letters were glued together for additional height. I rubbed VersaMark at the top of each letter then dipped it into a jar of glitter embossing powder and heat set.
I die cut Layered Snowflakes from water color paper and glued them to the card front.
The “let it” part of the sentiment is a stamp from Impression Obsession.
The card was placed under a heavy book overnight to make it good and flat.
I think I’ll place this card on the shelf by my computer so I can imagine cooler weather.
