Butterflies and Florals Wreath

As you can see by my samples I wanted experiment with color combinations for this workshop and I hope you will too. The listed supplies are only suggestions.

You are also free to use whatever sets you have. CYL Marigold Butterflies and CYL Butterfly Garden are two other excellent choices.

I originally intended to color on some of Altenew’s new beautiful colored cardstock. At the time I needed to turn in samples, some of my supplies were out of stock. So you will see a few cardstock colors on the Altenew supply list that I have not included in this class.

The first card uses the Golden Sunset, Cherry Blossom and Green Fields Fresh Dye Ink blending. A little Pocket Full of Sunshine and Warm and Cozy might also be in that image. I will use these colors in class.

The second card uses Deep Blue Seas, Enchanted Garden and Whispering Woodlands. A little Sea Breeze and Tide Blue are also addd.

The final elements for a card are colored with Sweet Dreams and Tea Party with some Cherry Blossom and Tide Blue added. I’ll have this card completed to show in class.

You will need

Flutter and Bloom Bundle or whatever stamp/stencil set you choose

Just Leaves Die set (Or whatever leaf dies you have)

5 1/2″ Square Card Base

5 1/4″ card panel in whatever cardstock color you want.

White cardstock for die cutting flowers and leaves

Obsidian Black Ink Pad

Sticky Mat for Ink Blending

Ink Blending Brushes

Clear Embossing Ink

Silver Embossing Powder or whatever color you wish

Die Cutting Machine

Glue and double sided foam tape

Scissors for fussy cutting

White enamel dots are used in the top card.

Black splatter is used on the second card.

Sentiment of your choice.

If you wish to do some die cutting. before class, the basic wreath takes four of the larger leaf clusters in the Just Leaves Die Set. For the second card I used 7 of the larger leaf clusters.

You are also encouraged to go ahead with the stamping and embossing of your flowers. For my samples I silver heat embossed the larger floral image in Flutter and Bloom. Because it is a larger image it took 2 or 3 stampings to get a good image.
