Online Card Class Making Merry:  Day One

More than 20 years ago I watched a gold heat embossing demonstration at Stamp Your Art Out in Cincinnati.  I bought a cornucopia wood mounted stamp, a heat gun, gold embossing powder and VersaMark.  That was the start of my stamping career.

Embossing still fascinates me.  I love watching the heat melt the powder like magic!

Jennifer McGuire demonstrates how to heat emboss green over gold  heat embossing!  Wow!  The i.o. holly background stamp is just perfect for the technique.

White embossing powder is then covered over water drops to make tiny snow flakes as the last layer on the card.

I turned this card into a shaker with white snowflakes, mica and sequins.

The merry die is from Paper Trey.  I cut it 4 times and stacked it before adding the Snow Maker pen and heat embossing it.
