Altenew Creativity Inspired Contest

Gerbera Revolution Paint-A-Flower

My yard is true desert landscaping. It’s September, over 100 degrees and there are no flowers.

For this challenge I went to my local supermarket and was thrilled to find Gerbera Daisies! Just happens I had the Gerbera Revolution Paint-A-Flower on my desk.

The Altenew Artist Watercolor 24 Pan Set was used to create these luscious pastel colors. The image was stamped with Obsidian Pigment ink and clear heat-embossed on watercolor paper.

I fussy-cut the image and went over the edges with a black marker then splattered black acrylic paint over it.

The background is Geometric Botany white heat-embossed then smushed into black water-color paint from the 24 pan set to created a random gray tone. Iridescent Ink Spray gives the background a little glimmer not picked up by the camera.

Wishing is die cut from Dazzling Diamond Glitter Cardstock. The glitter cardstock also backs the sentiment from Tiny Sentiments Wishing.

Pastel colors are a challenge for me. I tend to have a heavy hand and find darker, brighter colors much easier.

    1. Happy Labor Day to you too. I’m spending the day in the studio and Mike is on the golf course . . . a typical Monday in SaddleBrooke.

  1. Beautiful card, Pam! I never seem to go to pastel colors when crafting. Love that glitter cardstock as well!

  2. p.s. I sent an email. It said no one received it. Will you please let me know if it went through to you? Thank you! It was very odd.
