Altenew Inspiration Challenge

I like to use Altenew’s monthly Inspiration Challenge as a fun way to bring both older and newer Altenew products together. This month’s challenge presented by Emily Midget is all about shades of pink. To see the details of this and former challenges go to blog.altenew.com .

My monthly Craft Your Life Kit , Rustic Charm, had just arrived in the mail. I could hear the birds in this kit tweeting to me before I got it completely opened. And it’s a pair of birds, perfect for the focal point of a love card.

On my desk was the Cherry Blossom Bunch set which I had wanted to use for some time.I stamped, stenciled and die cut it 5 or 6 times. Soft, pastel colors made a great background that would’t over-power the birds.

Instant Dimension Foam Tape layers created many different depths just like you would see in a bunch of flowers. Even the birds’ wings were cut and popped up.

Even more texture was added to the background with the ever-popular Organic Linen Embossing Folder.

The sentiment is from Forever and Always and Sweet Expressions.

This card was a way of creating a spring vibe in my studio a little ahead of the actual season.
