Altenew Inspiration Challenge Jan. 2025

I really look forward to Altenew’s monthly Inspiration Challenges. They can be found on Altenew’s Blog https://www.blog.altenew.com. Aditi is starting the New Year off with the photo of an embroidered pillow. Embroidery was my first crafty endeavor. My mother had a needle and embroidery floss in my little hands when I was very young. And I’ve loved it ever since. So Aditi’s pillow inspired me to create a card that had that linen texture with smaller, thinner images.

The colors Aditi selected also call to me. They are very similar to the colors the attendants wore in my wedding.

Organic Linen was the perfect embossing folder to use for this month’s challenge.

Some older die sets were used for the flowers including Sweet Blooms and Layered Floral Elements.

The new Intertwining Leaves came very close to some of the shapes in Aditi’s embroidery.

I usually just take inspiration from the colors of the challenge photo. This month I loved the whole idea of fabric and floss.
