This drop dead gorgeous collection is being introduced by

Golden Days Stamps One Layer Card

This is my #1 favorite way to color an outline image. The first time I saw this coloring technique it was a video by Yana Smakula.

The image is first stamped in black Alcohol Ink-friendly ink. Then all of the images are colored with alcohol markers. The last step is filling in the background with black alcohol marker or any dark color. This shows off highlights and really lets the images take the focus.

“I Adore” sentiment is from Adore You Altenew Stamp Set. “You” is a die from All About You die set.

Folk Flowers Stencils and Die

I usually think of Folk Art as being done in primary colors. The images are simple without a lot of layering or texture. This card is not traditional folk art colors though the stamps are quite traditional.

The die word “charming” caught my attention. A NEW and Different word to die cut! That word led me to March and leprechans and St. Patrick’s Day. Which led me to monochromatic green. (Yep. That’s exactly how my brain works.)

There is actually a cut-out window here with an acetate pane though it’s hard to see in the photo. The card front is popped up with double sided foam adhesive tape. This could be a shaker.

The stamped part of the sentiment comes from the Altenew stamp set Family Matters.

Golden Days Stamps and Dies Sentiment Strips #3

Receiving new Crisp Dye Ink Pad colors from Altenew is a big event in my life. This time Tanzanite is my favorite color of the release. It’s close to navy which is just classic and works with most any color. This card background is blended with Tanzanite. The basic outline of the flowers is also Tanzanite. I have stored it as the #5 color with my Tranquility family of inks.

Likewise the new Raw Amber seems to me the #5 color in the Fall Harvest family. I used those stamp pads for the leaves.

The background is my signature gold heat embossing using an outline stamp from the Golden Days set.

Whimsical Peony Hot Foil Plate and Stencil
Card tipped to the side so you can see the colors in the rainbow foil.

This Heat Foiling plate is so classy. It could be elegant just on white cardstock with a black mat. But I needed to try the rainbow foil (Spellbinders). It’s fun to tip the card back and forth to catch the light and all the different colors in the foil.

The stencil makes this such an easy card to make. It’s one that could be mass producted.

No one would ever guess how easy it is.

Colleen Balija taught this way to get a jagged edge on your card front. I put the painter’s tape on my shirt a couple times to make sure it’s wasn’t too sticky. Then I tore the tape and applied about 1/4″ from the edge of the card stock. Then I used a blending brush to apply ink around the exposed edges.
