Altenew October Inspiration Challenge
Sometimes I get stuck in a color rut. The same color combinations seem to show up on many of my projects. I look forward to Altenew’s Inspiration Challenge. Each month a guest host presents us with a new color combination to try. www.blog.altenew.com
This month Hannelie Bester gave us shades of orange, pink and red. This is just what I was hoping for. Something new to me.
The CYL Nordic Wonderland kit was sitting on my desk just waiting for it’s inauguration.
I hadn’t ever considered using orange, pink and red on a holiday card. But that’s what the Inspiration Challenge is all about.
The Stampwheel really helped stamping with clear embossing ink. This is a large image which required more than one stamp.
Altenew Watercolor Markers are my medium of choice when the goal is vivid colors.
Gold glitter paper was used to die cut the Fancy Peace. The sparkle from it and a few sequins gave the card a holiday vibe.
While this color combination was out of my comfort zone, I loved working with it. I will definitely try it again.
Thank you for stopping by my blog. Scroll back to see some of my class offerings.
I teach virtually once a month on Bridget Casey’s Free Saturday Workshop and every second Wednesday of the month. In person I teach at Bluemoon Scrapbooking in Tucson, Arizona. My Altenew classes are announced in the Altenew Newsletter.
I really love this color combo! This set is perfect for non-traditional colors for the holidays! Love this, Pam!
Thanks, Traci. I love the folk art look. It really does lend itself to different color combinations.
How unusual and beautiful! Great card, Pam
Thank you, Mary. I’m still contemplating white splatters on it.
