Easy Die Cutting Techniques AECP
This class for my AECP is all about Easy Die Cutting Techniques.
The first card demonstrates Copic coloring and die cutting an Altenew flower from Pen Sketched Flowers set. There are many videos with suggestions as to how to line up the stamped image with the die. For me it just took a lot of practice. Then it all started making sense.
I used one of the flower stamps as a background stamping it in black.
This is another example of Copic coloring and die cutting flowers from the Pen Sketched Flowers set.
The background is an embossing folder from Darice.
I die cut the small leaf from Pen Sketched Flowers over and over to created a cover die. That piece was popped up with foam tape over a solid card front that was randomly sponged with various colors of yellow and orange. Images from Pen Sketched Flowers were then colored with Copic markers and die cut. They are adhered with different levels of foam tape and tied with a bow.
One of my favorite ways to use a die is to cut it from heavier cardstock (120# Nenah Solar White).
Then the negative portion can be used as a stencil! Here I die cut the small leaf over and over to create a cover stencil. I then used a sponge to apply ink to the open parts of the stencil. The reveal is so fun! The flowers from Pen Sketched Flowers were Copic colored and die cut.
I was away from home with just one set of Altenew stamps. Pen Sketched Flowers worked perfectly for all of these techniques.
