Educator Instagram Hop

Thanks and Gratitude is the theme for this Educators Instagram Hop.

Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday. It’s about family and being grateful.

I am blessed with so many people who deserve a thank-you. They are mostly the same people I send cards to all year.

During this holiday I also choose at least one person who isn’t on my mailing list. It’s so much fun to surprise someone with a card . . . acquaintances who may not even know I make cards.

This year I am sending cards to people who take the thankless job of chairing committees. They send emails, arrange meeting rooms, mediate disagreements and make it possible for the rest of us to enjoy the activities.

My card was influenced by the brilliant colors of Erum Tasneem, Joy D’Souza and Nenette Madero and a recent trip to Mexico for Die de los Muertos.

The bight blue and orange combination has been a favorite of mine ever since my niece chose them as her wedding colors.

Here is another card using that color combination.

This card using Bird of the Woods and Walnut Branch 3D Embossing Folder was the project I taught in November for my Second Wednesday Virtual Workshop.
