Ellen Hutson/Sandy Allnock Amarylis

I am taking a class coordinated by Sandy Allnock and sponsored by Ellen Hutson.  It is all about coloring flowers and is taught by 5 different instructors.

I am doing this for fun with no plans for finished products.  It’s a great opportunity to learn from all of these talented ladies.

This class, taught by Sandy, was no line coloring with Copic Markers on Ellen Hutson’s Amarylis stamp.  I first tried stamping with Memento and coloring with lines.  Truthfully no-line is very challenging for me.  Then I colored the no-line.

What was most fun about this class was learning how to draw in this open-window back ground.

The very traditional red amaryllis  is what I purchase for myself, my daughter and my daughter-in-law.  They are so fascinating as they grow so quickly and have ginormous blooms.  I started to color a red one just to get a sense of the Copic reds that Sandy used.  I hope to come back to all of these, especially the red one for Christmas tags.
