Fairy Rose of Winter Workshop (12/8/21)

Thank you so much for signing up for my first evening class. I will continue to teach a class the second Wednesday of the month at 6:00 EST. Watch for announcements of the classes on the Altenew FaceBook Fan Club and on the Altenew website.

Supplies for the first project include:

Fairy Tale Rose stamp set and dies.

Slim Deco Cover Die Set or Nesting Slimline Rectangle Die Set

Hello Winter Stamp and Die Set

White cardstock cut to 3 3 /4″ x 7 3/4″. I prefer heavier cardstock such as 110# Neena. If you are making a tag, cut 2 of these pieces to be glued together for stability.

Enough water color paper for 3 of the roses and Winter Sentiment

Gold mirror card stock to cut deco or rectangle die and sentiment

(Optional double sided adhesive paper for rectangle die)

Clear embossing ink pad and Antique Gold embossing Powder

The four crisp die ink pads from the Lapis Luizi family.

Black Ink Pad

Pure White Ink Spray or White Acrylic Paint for Splatters

Acrylic Block or Misti

Pallet for mixing water color

Paint Brush

Blending Brush (I use two of the large for blue and black).

Two cups of water for cleaning brush

Additional Supplies for Card #2

A2 Card Base and 4 x 5 1/4″ Card Front from White card stock

Prior to class Cut cardstock for both projects.

Go ahead and die cut the deco or rectangle frame from gold mirror cardstock if you wish. (The Deco Frame is intricate and may require a couple passes through your die cut machine or a shim. You may choose to use double-sided adhesive paper for this element.)

Making Projects #1

Blend background on project #1. Let Dry or Heat Set. If you have an Altenew White Stamping Mat it is ideal to use. It will keep your paper from slipping.

Stamp 3 Roses in Clear Ink then gold-emboss.

Water Color Roses using Lapis Luizi family of ink colors. Set aside to dry.

Die Cut 3 Roses.

White ink splatter blue blended background and 2 of the roses. Let dry.

Die Cut shadow piece of Winter of water color paper painted with one of the lighter Lapis Luizi colors. Let Dry.

Die Cut the narrower Winter of white card stock or leftover water color paper or gold mirror cardstock or glitter cardstock.

Adhere two Winter pieces.

Stamp “have a cozy” in the darkest Lapis Luizi and trim into a small rectangle.

Die Cut and Adhere deco or rectangular frame to ink-blended base. Make sure the base is dry!

Assemble using glue and double sided foam adhesive.

Card #2

Stamp sentiment of your choice on the 4 x 5 1/4″ card front in black ink.

Stamp background image with black ink. Start in the middle.

Assemble card.
