February 18, 2023
Supplies:
Swallowtail Butterfly Stamps and Dies
Beautiful Day Stamp and Die Set or any floral stamp set
*Dreamy Sunset Paper Pack or any pattern paper with soft colors
Jet Black or any color Cardstock for die cuts and Photo mats
#110 white cardstock whatever size you want your page to be.
I’ve always scrapbooked even before collecting ticket stubs and photos from my dates with Mike starting at the age of 16.
One of the greatest influencers in my scrapbooking life is the fun, creative, lovely southern lady , Anna Griffin. I got to know her when I managed a scrapbook store in Northern Kentucky. Her shabby chic style calls to me like no other. It is what I love most for creating heritage layouts.
In this class we will be looking at all of the elements in the Beautiful Day Stamp Set (Or any floral stamp set) to see how they can be applied to a heritage layout.
Because I didn’t want this to be totally floral we will be adding some Swallowtail Butterflies.
*I had originally listed Gel Print Soft Washes Pattern Paper for this workshop. because it is out of stock, I am using another favorite, Dreamy Sunset Paper Pack. Choose any soft print.
Select the photo(s) you will be using if any. I had mine printed in black and white or sepia.
Identify the colors in your pattern paper.
Most of the decisions have been made. Now the fun begins!
Hopefully this gives you some ideas for your page.
Gather up your supplies and I’ll see you in class!
Remember: Designing a scrapbook page is just like designing a card. Keep in mind that uneven numbers of elements work best, the page is best if divided into thirds and create triangles to allow the eye to travel.
