Never underestimate the power of being properly caffeinated.

Simon Says Wednesday Challenge is to use a favorite technique.  I love to mask!  It’s just like a puzzle to figure out the order in which the various elements should be stamped.
The idea of having a monster come out of a coffee cup is not my original idea.  I saw the idea on the blog of a Stampin Up demonstrator.  I’ve gone back through Pinterest and Splitcoast but cannot find the name.  We both used the Stampin up coffee cup.  From there our design is totally different.
The tag is a Prima watercolor tag.  I turned up the bottom to make a pocket for the gift card.
Washi tape holds the pocket in place.  The monsters from Clearly Besotted are stamped in Memento ink and colored with Copics.  The coffee splats are from a stamp by Tim Holtz.  The sentiment is from Art Impressions.  Stickles, google eyes and string finish the tag.
