November 22 Workshop

Bridget Casey’s Free Saturday Workshop

Welcome to our very informal, unpredictable, chatty and creative Saturday.

Pumpkin is one of my favorite things. I love Pumpkin Spice Latte, Pumpkin Pie, carving pumpkins and coloring pumpkins. I even roast pumpkin seeds.

So here we are the week before Thanksgiving and I really wanted to make the Sweet Harvest apple pie into a pumpkin pie.

I pulled lots of different Altenew products for this card. Please use what you have, There are some changes I will make in class including making the pie crust a little lighter. (This resembles my own baking, not the light, flakey crust better bakers produce.)

It would help if you could die cut the pieces before class.

Supplies:

A2 Card Base

Sweet Harvest Craft Your Life Set ( pie and sentiment)

Sweet Life Mini Dies (Whipped Cream)

Botanical Honey Comb Stencils (Patterned Petals is a good substitute)

Pretty Pumpkin Layering Die or any pumpkin dies

One go Sweet Pumpkins for the small leaves or any small leaf dies

Brushed Silver Cardsick for the pie rack

For the background:

5 1/2″ Square 110# white cardstock

Sticky mat

Dew Drops (Sweet Dreams) Golden Honeycomb, Melted Butterscotch and Amber Blaze (Sunkissed Delight) inks and blending brushes

For the Pie:

Sand Dunes Cardstock die cut the base of the pie one time and the ring shapped piece including the inside 2 times.

Almond Butter Fresh Die (Delectable Delight) Ink and Blending Brush

I used Pearl Shimmer Relief Paste and Fresh Dye Refill ( I used Terra Cotta but would prefer Pumpkin Pie) ink for the pumpkin. If you prefer, you can just ink blend in the pumpkin pie type colors.

The Whipped Cream is from the Sweet Life Mini Die Set cut from Pearl Shimmer Relief Paste and White Glitter Cardstock.

For the Pumpkins:

Die cut all the pieces for the two smallest pumpkin from 110# white cardstock

Butternut and Pumpkin Pie (Fall Harvest( and Terracotta ink with blending brushes.

For the Leaves:

In class I will use darker shades of the Sweet Dreams and Sunkissed Delight families to ink blend the leaves.

For the Rack:

Die cut the rack from brushed silver cardstock. Poke out all of the tiny pieces.

For the Sentiment:

Stamp in Galactic Stream and die cut. Die cut another one or two layers to stack.

If you prefer apple pie . .
