Thank You

The Altenew Educators had a great hop with Thank You cards.  I paid no attention to deadline for posting.  So sad when the link says “Party Closed.”  I wanted to attend.

So I’ll just have my own party and post the card anyway.

Bird of Paradise is my newest stamp.  I have been fascinated with this flower since first seeing it in California.  My son and his wife had a prolific Bird of Paradise at the front door of their first California home.  Karla was constantly pruning that beauty to keep it from overtaking the front entrance.

I ordered Bird of Paradise stamp the first morning it was available.  (Already the bundle and dies were sold out.)   It has been here less than a week.  New stamps call to me until they have been dipped in ink.

First I tried layering with Altenew inks.  I found it very difficult to get the stamp, especially the stem, in perfect position without a die as a guide.   It is on order.

Next I tried Altenew water color, Artist and metallic, on both white and black water color paper.
The results are in a previous post.  Fabulous!

For this card I used my beloved alcohol markers.  There are some tiny petals that require the very tip of the brush marker and my reading glasses.  Oh, I am crazy about the results.

I have several more of these cards stamped and ready to color.  We have had major fires in our area.
The firefighters need some thank yous.  Don’t you think these flowers are perfect for firefighters or anyone else?
