Decorative Tags Die Set

I have been paper crafting for 30 plus years. Yet I still am like a kid at Christmas when my mail woman comes to the door with an Altenew box. Today when I opened the December 2021 Stand-alone-die release package the Decorative Tags were on top. I immediately opened it, pulled out my Glitter Cardstock and excitedly began die cutting.

Glitter Cardstock is in the top of my Altenew supply list. Tags are my favorite holiday paper craft. Inlay die cutting is one of the most amazing techniques to do. It’s like working on a sparkle puzzle. These two tags were assembled in no time! Gorgeous.

Double sided adhesive tape placed on the back of the tag makes inlaying tiny pieces easy peasy.
A finished tag back gives a professional presentation.

I use reinforcements at the tag hole. They can be colored to match the tag.

Mega Stamp Frames

Mega Stamp Frames Die Set

Such a great set of frames! Do you remember when we had to use decorative scissors to attempt this stamp edge? The are two sizes of frames in the set along with some words with the coolest font.

For this card I colored the background using Altenew Blending Brushes. I kind of like the affect of the background extending from inside the frame to the card base.

The frame is cut out with mirror cardstock. It is staked on top of several layers cut with the same die.

The train image comes from Altenew’s Enjoy Your Journey. “Mail” is die cut from the Inline Alphabet Die set. I just did a swipe direct to paper of the same color ink as the background to die cut the word.

Gold Band Lily CAF

If I HAD to choose just one style it would be Shabby Chic. That style gives license to layer and layer with all types of feminine goodness.

While this is a tag it could easily be a slimline card as well. The focus is the new Gold Band Lily CAF. (I prefer to use heavier card stock both on tags and with my die cuts. It give more stability.)

Using Altenew’s blending brushes I applied a light pink background (Pink Diamond ).

The Elegant Motif 3D embossing folder was used three times to cover the entire tag with the raised design. I then lightly dragged the Clear Embossing Ink over the raised portions of the tag and heat embossed that in white embossing powder.

Scalloped Scallop gave the bottom of the tag a pretty edge.

The base die of the lily is die cut from Pink Brilliance Glitter Cardstock. It twinkles under the holes in the next layer. The top two layers were die cut from white card stock and lightly brushed with pink. The little decorative layers are cut from Pink Brilliance and Dazzling Diamonds Glitter Cardstock.

Leaves of the lily are die cut from white card stock and Dazzling Diamonds. I edged them with Minty Mint.

To create even mover texture and feminine elements I die cut berries from Berries and Branches then added White Enamel Dots. It gave me exactly the effect I wanted

Tags and Shabby Chic just make me happy.

Lovely Daisies Die Set

This die set is easy . . . a great choice for a beginner or advanced crafter. There are only 4 dies for each of three blooms plus leaves which are only two dies each. I made it even quicker by leaving off one bloom and one leaf die. Look! The results are spectacular.

Pattern Paper can be the magic in your cards. My scrapbooking experience leads me to pattern paper. I then select the color for my images from the pattern. The background paper is from Rainbow Blots Paper Pack.

By itself the paper is pretty wild and would distract from the images. But placing the black Diamond Frame Cover Die over the pattern lets the bright colors show through without distracting from the daisies. The frame is die cut twice and stacked.

From the 36 pan water color set I found or created the three colors. Tree pieces of water color paper were painted with the three chosen colors. I let it thoroughly dry then die cut the blooms. (One layer was cut fromDazzling Diamond.)

Black Fun Foam is placed under the large center diamond to show off those images.

The sentiment comes from the Congratulations Mini stamp set.

Now I have a card all ready next time my daughter gets a promotion.
