Altenew February 2023 Inspiration Challenge

blog.altenew.com

I had to play along this month with Laura Jane, one of my favorite designers. She came up with some super-gorgeous colors for this month’s challenge.

Craft-A-Flower Orchids

The best way I know to get vibrant colors like these is with Alcohol Inks. I die cut most of the petals from Yupo Paper colored with Alcohol Ink Refills and a little gold foil. A few pieces were die cut in sparkling Pink Brilliance Glitter Cardstock. Leaves were die cut from Green Meadows Gradient Cardstock.

The orchid gives me Asian vibes. To add to that look I added the amazing Stacked Diamonds Cover Die cut from Brushed Gold Metallic Cardstock.

My obsession with Craft-A-Flowers is due to the joy I get from assembling pieces that result it these spectacular 3D floral images.

Thank you for stopping by my blog.

I teach virtually every second Wednesday and once a month on Bridget Casey’s Free Saturday Workshop. My in-person classes are at Bluemoon Scrapbooking in Tucson, AZ. All Altenew classes are announced in Altenew’s newsletter.
