Altenew January 2021 Challenge

The new color challenge is a combination of pink, magenta and brown.

When a new Altenew product comes into my house I open it immediately and drool over the tri-fold guide that comes with it. It stays on my desk until I use it.

When this challenge was announced, Snowdrops Craft-a-Flower was sitting on my desk. Now this card by Erum Tasneem is what I was waiting to do CASE with Snowdrops. Erum does blue like no one else!

I was skeptical about how this design would look in pink and brown. I water colored the front panel with those color combinations. I didn’t love it. Splattering it with brown and white improved it a bit. Starting the leaves and stems with brown blending into green didn’t thrill me. Adding the white flowers gave it some potential. A final splattering of white convinced me I had a very likable card.

  1. Boy, you nailed this one! I absolutely love it. Your background looks fantastic especially with the pop of white and green from your Snowdrops.

    1. Thank you so much. I wasn’t sure where I was going but I liked where it ended up! My sister says you should do something out of your comfort zone every day. That was mine for today.

    1. When I saw Snowdrops and the samples done by the designers I couldn’t wait to get it.
      Thanks for your comment.
