Color Your Summer is all about drawing inspiration from this vibrant summer color palette.

The first step was to ink blend an 8 1/2 x 11 white cardstock with the assigned colors.

I then die cut Zero-Waste: Fluttering Fantasies two times and one more time of vellum. That made enough butterflies for the following three cards.
I then assembled the butterflies with 1-4 layers.

5×7 Card. Fluttering Fantasies Die, Brilliant Waves Stencil and Dotted Blooms for the sentiment

The negative from the die cut Fluttering Fantasies made a perfect shaker. The frame is from CYL Illuminated Scenes. Sentiment from One-Go: Words & Banners

5×7 Card. I watercolored Billowing Peonies then added the three remaining butterflies.

My original idea for this hop was to create a cross stitch with the new Pegboard dies.
Here you can see the assigned pallet next to the water color card.
I teach once a month on Bridget Casey’s Free Saturday Workshop. I also teach every Second Wednesday. Those workshops are announced in the Altenew Newsletter. Or you can join this blog and receive posts of my classes.
On June 10th I will be teaching a free workshop on Starting An Art Journal. To sign up email me at grammy2bo@gmail.com. Please put June 10th in the subject line.
