Markers/Alcohol Inks/Coloring Sheets Release

Thank you Nancy Souza for sending Altenew Fans my way. If you want to start from the beginning go to Altenew’s Card Blog https://wp.me/p6Dps1u-flC. There Emily with inspire you with a video showing all of the fabulous items in this release.

I’m so excited! I just can’t hide it. 24 New Alcohol Markers in 6 beautiful Altenew families including Lapis Lazuli (my most favorite of all), Green Meadows, Tea Party, Sugar Plum , Tranquility and Fall Harvest. I’ve been waiting for this!

I cannot unwrap the packages fast enough. Those markers need to be colored immediately.

I converted to Altenew inks because they are in graduated families of colors. They are gorgeous colors and stamp beautifully every time. And I love the way they blend. I organize my stamp pads, water color markers and alcohol markers by family. The large font on my label maker helps me see the lightest (#1) to the darkest (#4) of each family quickly. That is the system that works for me.

Now I’m going to put Lapis Lazuli and Green Meadows to work . . .

A No-Line Page from Whimsical Flower Bunch Coloring sheets

Whimsical Flower Bunch Coloring Sheets are made of the most fabulous paper. It took layer after layer of the deepest pigment without getting shiny. I am impressed! Each design is such beautiful artwork that I truly couldn’t stop coloring the pages.

The 6 x 6″ square was cut down to 4 x 5 1/4 and matted on an A2 card base colored around the edges with the darkest Lapis Lazuli marker (Azurite). Fun Foam was put behind the first layer.

White Enamel Dots add just the right texture to finish the card.

New Alcohol Markers from the Green Meadows and Tea Party families were used to color this image. I cut it down to fit a small slim line card 3 1/2 x 6″. The tiny little Altenew Antique Gold Sequins that I love so much were added for some glimmer and shine.

This is such a pretty, delicate design that softer colors seemed more appropriate for this bird and flowers. (I think she looks like the Mourning Dove I hear cooing every morning.) Look at the detail in the wing . . . just gorgeous!

My craft knife has always been the tool I depend on the most. I used it to cut around the upper part of the bird’s body. (A sharp blade is essential.) Then the gold glitter hugs with a Hunter Green Shadow slipped right behind the head.

My favorite tiny gold sequins are scattered around for more bling.

This finished card is 5 3/4″ Square.

  1. Lovely cards Pam! You did a fabulous job coloring and showcasing the new color palettes. It is a great idea to add the large print labels to the markers for easy access, specially for us, the night owls 😉 Thanks for the inspiration!
