May 13 Watercolor Workshop
Watercolor Fun

Sign up by emailing Pam at grammy2bo@gmail.com. Include May 13th in the Subject Line.
This is a Free Class.
Includes demonstration of making a background with bubbles and water color.

This is not a serious watercolor class. It’s an evening to experiment and get to know your watercolors a little better. We will watercolor florals two different ways. And we will focus on backgrounds using watercolors.
If you signed up in time to get a discount, these are the supplies included in the discount list:
Pocket Perfect Watercolor Compacts Bundle
Stamp & Paint Charm Clusters Complete Bundle
Masking Paper
Crisscross Blooms 3D Embossing Folder
Artists Watercolor Brushes Round
Petal Pallet
Jet Black Cardstock
Watercolor Paper Set (A2)
Obsidian Black Ink
Clear Embossing Ink and Powder

Moody Brights Watercolor Compact
The first Card features loose watercoloring. It was inspired by one of the ideas shown in the packaging of the Charm Clusters set. It can be done with a masking technique inspired by Erum Tasneem or the two clusters can be stamped in Black Obsidian Ink on watercolor paper and die cut separately. The masking will be demonstrated in class.

Deep Muse Watercolor Compact
I did not include the gold embossing powder in my original list. The two clusters are stamped in clear embossing ink on watercolor paper and heat embossed with gold embossing powder.
You can choose any sentiment. This sentiment is not included in the supply list. It is the Fancy Celebrate Die. It’s die cut from Brushed Gold Cardstock and layered with white cardstock. I also added a few sequins.
Other than the supplies listed above you will need:
Paper Towels
Mister
Two cups of water
Die Cutting Machine
Heat Gun
Stampwheel or something to stamp images with
Double-sided foam Tape
Glue
For the two cards you will need two A2 Top Folding Card Bases
Two A2 watercolor cardstock for the panels
Two A2 watercolor cardstock for the images
Supplies for sentiment in card #2

As an extra bonus at the end of class I will be demonstrating making a background similar to the one you see above using bubbles. If you want to play along you will need
A container of 1/2 Dish Soap (Dawn) 1/2 water and liquid watercolor such as a Refill for Altenew’s Watercolor Markers.
Jaycee Gaspar has recorded a great Live using these Compact Watercolors. “Come Paint With Me/Perfect Pallets Watercolor Destress”

June 10th my workshop will be “Let’s Start an Art Journal”. We will be creating this first page of a journal. I will also share lots of pages from my own art journal. It’s a great place to experiment, save projects or record favorite color combinations. Altenew will be announcing this class soon. Register by emailing me at grammy2bo@gmail.com
I teach once a month on Bridget Casey’s Free Saturday Workshop. My virtual workshops are every second Wednesday which are announced in the Altenew Newsletter. This blog is always a good source for past and upcoming workshops.
