May 2021 Altenew Inspiration Challenge

The photo for this month’s inspiration challenge is filled with colorful umbrellas. When I laid out my Altenew Alcohol Markers I found the colors to be rather retro.

For this challenge I used Altenew’s Tall Tales stamps and dies.

I first stamped the background with Tie Dye Motifs using Silverstone. That was too faint. A second layer of Chamomile did the trick.
Color families in Altenew Alcohol Markers include Warm and Cozy, Cool Summer nights and Tropical Forest.

The Bold Thanks Die set and Teachers Rule script are used for the sentiment.

This card is for my grandson’s teacher. This was a challenging year for all teachers. First Grade teachers deserve extra recognition for teaching kids to read virtually. This teacher taught kids to read in Spanish and English!!!

My grandson has graduated to chapter books several grades ahead. He is addicted to reading thanks to a dedicated teacher.
