Classes and Projects with Altenew’s Layered Snowflakes Dies

Virtual Workshop September 14

I have listed supplies for the cards as I made them. I encourage you to try something different especially with the scrap papers you have. Look at the cards at the end of this post for more ideas.

Supplies:

Layered Snowflakes 3D Embossing Folder

Halftone Holidays Stamp Set

Gilded Glitter Cardstock

Antique Gold Embossing Powder

Pure White Embossing Powder

Clear Embossing Ink

Pure White Ink Spray

Antique Gold Metallic Ink Spray

(1) 4 1/4 x 5 1/2″ cardstock

(1) 4 1/4 x 5 1/2″ Kraft cardstock

(2) 4 1/4 x 5 1/2″ card bases with top fold

Heat Gun

Die Cut Machine

Scraps of vellum, white or any other papers you wish to use

Adhesives including double-sided adhesive foam and glue

Splatter Box and old brush for paint splatter

If you prefer to do some die cutting before class, the instructions are below.

Less complicated; just die cut 18 or more snowflakes of different sizes in vellum, glitter cardstock and white cardstock. I encourage you to do your own thing and use different colors.

This card was inspired by Jaycee Jaspar

For the card with the black background you will need TWO of each of these snowflakes on the blue paper.

3 are cut from white cardstock

1 vellum

1 gold glitter cardstock

I will explain in class how the snowflake on the upper left is made. For now, just cut it from white cardstock.

You need only one of the glitter gold snowflake on the black mat.

For the card with the Kraft background you will need THREE of each of the snowflakes on the blue paper.

Sentiments are from Holiday Wishes as I didn’t yet have the Halftone Holiday set.

Other Card Ideas

The following five cards and tickets are for our neighborhood holiday luncheon. Ladies will draw a ticket to see at which table they will be seated. The cards will be in the centerpiece of the five tables. (All products from Altenew except stamp on tickets).

Watch for the Educators’ Blog Hop in October. I will have a super fancy, glitzy, layered tag using the snowflake dies and lots more.

I look forward to seeing you in another class. I teach virtually every 2nd Wednesday and once a month in Bridget Casey’s Free Saturday Workshop. I also teach in person at BlueMoon Scrapbooking in Tucson, Arizona. All classes are announced in the newsletter you receive and usually on the Facebook Altenew Fan Group.

  1. Hi Pam, is it okay to substitute with other company’s die? I don’t the same die, and I doubt my order would arrive on time since I live in Canada. Please advise.
