A YEAR IN REVIEW CHALLENGE 2020 POST

Our challenge was to choose one of 12 photographs posted in the challenge blog during 2020 and make a card inspired by that photo.

My photo was inspired by the July photo:

I am intrigued by cards with windows. My card represents the window panes with the Garden Trellis Cover Die. The glass is created with acetate sandwiched between two black trellis die cuts.

The floral element is not a wreath but the Festive Clusters Die Set inlaid with glossy and glittered specialty papers.

In a virtual Workshop with Nicole Watt we filled in random squares of the Garden Trellis die cut. I incorporated that idea in this card by filling in the squares behind the floral image. This covered the glue and unappealing backside of my work to give a more finished appearance on the inside of the card.

The peace sentiment is from Altenew. I cut off some of the swirly to make it fit the card.

The tiny little inlays in this card were a bit tedious but I was so excited to see the finished product that I didn’t even think about the time.
